Tutorial Schedule

 

Beginning the week of February 8, we will be implementing a special tutorial schedule twice a week as an intervention measure for both our struggling and achieving students. We are able to offer this to students by shortening classes by just three minutes, and per both district and state guidelines, the number of minutes required for instruction for each class and content area will still be met.

 

This tutorial schedule will enable students who do not understand a concept to receive additional help, while also providing students who are achieving to seek enrichment support to enhance the learning they have already experienced. This tutorial stems from research and practice that has been implemented through a program known as Response to Intervention, or RtI. It is perhaps one of the first intervention programs that maximizes the school day and also provide instructional services to both struggling and achieving students.
